What should I expect in my first session?
An introductory session starts off with conversation, where we can discuss what you’re experiencing and the goals you have for your healing. We’ll decide what approach will serve you best and, once you’re on the treatment table, we’ll begin hands-on work tailored to your needs and help you feel better. No prior experience with craniosacral therapy or bodywork is needed.
What should I wear? Do I need to undress?
I recommend wearing comfortable clothing, though you’re free to come as you are! Clients often disrobe for massage therapy and remain clothed for sessions primarily focused on craniosacral therapy. Your comfort level matters most, and clients wishing to remain fully or partially clothed are welcome to do so. You are always in control of your session and can communicate preferences at any time.
Do I need to choose between craniosacral therapy and massage?
No. Many sessions blend both modalities, though we can focus solely on either approach depending on your needs.
What does craniosacral therapy feel like?
Clients often describe craniosacral therapy as deeply relaxing, centering, and grounding. The light, supportive touch typically puts people in a place between being awake and falling asleep. This creates a sense of restoration and mental clarity. Sometimes, that in-between place opens up deeper layers of emotion or memory which we navigate with intentional conversation as needed.
Can I come in just for massage?
Yes! Many clients seek relaxing, supportive bodywork to manage pain and well-being.
How often should I come in?
After an initial session, I typically recommend a follow-up session within the next 1-2 weeks. For ongoing care, most clients settle into a regular rhythm of sessions once every 2-3 weeks. Depending on your goals, we can increase session frequency or space them further apart.
Is the office space accessible for those with mobility limitations or wheelchair use? What about financial accessibility?
Yes. The central Denver office is wheelchair accessible with a private bathroom. Sliding scale sessions are limited but available. Please reach out directly to discuss payment options.
